Great School Memory???

Do you have a great school memory?

I bet you do!!! I bet you have an awesome, amazing, spectacular memory. A memory that made you into the person you are today. It may be sad or happy but I bet you have one.

I don't have any stand out memories of school.

Dont judge me because of my hair.
Don't get me wrong I have blocked it all out just nothing stands out.  I got along with most people and had relatively little drama (it was high school so I'm sure we were dramatic but nothing outstanding). I don't recall kissing a boy in school but I am sure I must have...I was a normal girl and dated but again nothing stands out in my mind (sorry guys).

So lets go further back than high school (I am skipping the college years...my mom has to get dementia before I will relive those memories in writing). Jr.High that was a fun time. Not really...I was fairly awkward in Jr.High and beyond letting my mom dye my hair in the 8th grade they were fairly uneventful.

That leaves grade school...that was a really long time ago, can I even remember that far back?

Not really?

Now I am all sad that I don't have that stand out memory...of course since graduating high school I have suffered not one not two but five Traumatic Brain Injuries. You read that right FIVE Traumatic Brian Injuries. And all of them were in a 4 - 5 year time frame. That's one a year. Its amazing that I can remember my name let alone what happened 20+ years ago.

So if you went to school with me please please please share any memories you have of me.

  1. Stopping by from SITS! I think inviting other classmates to leave their memories is a great way to rediscover funny stories from your school days!

  3. Let's see....I remember you having a major crush on a guy by the last name of Grimley. Oh yes, your loins were on fire for him! I remember hanging out in your basement watching movies. We played truth or dare several times, Pat won't let us forget that one. We used to cruise around in Beth's car or Ryan's old love machine. You were always happy and boisterous and a lot of fun to be around. You would laugh and laugh until you'd hyperventilate. We'd all get a kick out of that until we thought you'd pass out! You taught me how to french braid. You listened compassionately. You're right, there was little, if any, drama in your life. You are a great friend!
    Awe, MJ, I miss you!

    1. I had bad taste in men for a long time. How could I forget the love machine? I think Ryan still has it. Truth or Dare? Really? I doubt that. I taught you to french braid hair? I dont remember that but I think I taught a lot of people to do that.

  4. Wow!! 5 Traumatic Brain Injuries...!! I'm glad you are here to blog about it. :) Also, I'm totally jealous of the hair (I always tried to get cool hair like that, but I didn't have very good curling iron/hairspray/blow dryer skills).

  5. I had a traumatic brain injury in high school ... and that is one school memory I don't want to remember! I think it is neat how you are asking friends to help you with your memories! I know what it is like to know there are memories there but you can't get them out ..

  6. 5 traumatic brain injuries! That has to be some kind of record...unless you're a boxer or something like that. Glad you're ok! And I'm also jealous of your true 80's hair! I tried to get it right and made an Aquanet bird's nest!
