Can't be Mad About the Snow or Can I

I would like to think that I am a smart girl. And I roll with the punches that come my way.

And a smart girl would say hey a storm is coming, so I'm not going to drive through Hell's Canyon I am going to stay home this weekend. I'll go tomorrow or the next day or maybe next weekend.

So when I get out of training at 7PM and the snow is falling and the wind is blowing and my car already has an inch of snow after 30 minutes.  I do what any smart girl would do: get dinner, go home and start in on the bottle of rum a friend thoughtfully brought back from the Bahamas. I love my friends!!!!

You then spend the evening babysitting your friends kids because you can only watch Sherlock Holmes so many times in a week before you pass that fine line of being a fan of the movie and become pathetic.

The next morning you wake up with a slight headache and look outside and think great now I have to unbury my car before I can do anything.

So you take the dogs out and they thoroughly enjoy the snow running and jumping around like they haven't in years (old lazy dogs). And you smile because dogs are cute, dumb but cute.

Then your 8 year old niece comes up to you and says that's a lot of snow on your car, now your in a bad mood again.

So you unbury your car and loaded it up for the trip. And as your driving your niece to your parents house she looks out the window and says, "Its like we live at the North Pole. It's so beautiful."

So you stop being mad and start looking out your car window and shes right it is beautiful. And your glad that you followed your instinct to take a bunch of pictures that morning, but wishing you could now stay home and edit them.

  2. What a great story about how we can change our perspective. I've always liked snow...probably because I didn't grow up with it.
