Its Party Time!!!!

I may have mentioned a few dozen times that I moved in with The BF. What I may not have mentioned is that I am notorious for not unpacking when I move. I have been know to leave things in boxes for months and months (except my books cause everyone knows those are necissities and not a luxuary item). In fact I unpack things as I need them...being that The BF has most things I need so a lot of my stuff has remainned packed in boxes and bins.

After much complaining from The BF I finally decided to unpack the boxes in the garage and what did I find my 3 favorite kitchen gadets/accessories. The blender perfect for making margaritas, the coffee bean grinder perfect for making iced coffee mixed with kahlua drinks and my martini mix set perfect for makeing vodka martinins shaken not stirred.

Now I am making a very specialist grocery list and have decided I need to use my mixology knowledge to invent a new drink and call it The MJ...A Girl Named Michael is just to long and a drink called Michael sounds like it has bourbon in it and I dont like bourbon.

I am going to start next week when the psedo step-kids are on vacation with their mom for a week.

I bet I am late for work a lot next week.

My Own Private Highway to Hell

I once had a college roommate ask if I was going to use my powers for good or evil after yesterday I think that question has finally been answered.

Yesterday evening I need to stop by the local mega store, as I was circling the parking lot looking for the closest space to the door a thought came to mind: I wish my mom was here so I could use her handicap placard so I can get a really good space. I would like to say this is the first time I have had this thought but its not. Often and I mean often I wish my mom was with me when I go shopping so I can get a good parking space.

But yesterday I hit an all time low. I went beyond wishing she was with me, I started wishing she had left her placard in my car so I could park in a good spot. But then I took it one step further....for a brief split second I considered going to my mom’s house and getting her placard. I then imagined the following conversation:
  • Me: Hey Mom I am in your parking lot!
  • Mom: Why are you calling just come in?
  • Me: I need a favor.
  • Mom: What?
  • Me: Can I borrow your handicap sign?
  • Mom: Why?
  • Me: I am tired and there is no good parking at the store.
  • Mom: (hesitatingly) I guess.
  • Me: Can you bring it out to me?
Yup in my imagined conversation I wanted my mother, who is currently in need of a hip and knee replacement not to mention suffering from planters fasciitis, to walk from her apartment to my car so I would have a good parking space.

I am happy to say that none of this occurred. I finally just picked a parking spot and went into the store. However I am positive of two things 1. I am the laziest/most selfish person I know and 2. I am well on my way to joining the dark side.

Some would say it was only a matter of time.

Yes, I am that Lazy

This morning while I was laying bed listening to the psedostep-kids playing and drinking my 1st cup of coffee*, I start to smell the delicious breakfast The BF was cooking. I roll over to send a text message to The BF telling him how yummy breakfast smells.

It dawns on me that I am incredibly lazy. I could have very easily got out of bed and talked to The BF but I choose to text message someone who is down the hall. I love technology.

*I need to add a quick side note of appreciation..most weekends The BF brings me coffee in bed. Sometimes I bring it to him but most the time he spoils me and I can not express how grateful I am at this little act of kindness.

If you like it share it
